About the UCO

Formerly the British School of Osteopathy, the University College of Osteopathy (UCO) is a leading provider of osteopathic education and healthcare.

The UCO the largest osteopathic educational institution in the UK, and has played a leading role in educating osteopaths, championing osteopathy and furthering the profession for over 100 years. Our evidence-informed approach, high-quality teaching and excellent clinical opportunities attract students from around the world and produce graduates who go on to leading roles within the profession.

We support an evidence-informed approach to our teaching, learning and patient care, and have an active research department who are regularly published in journals and invited to speak at conferences around the world.

The UCO Clinic is our teaching clinic, providing senior students with essential clinical experience under the expert supervision and guidance of experienced, qualified osteopaths. It also provides patients with access to high-quality but affordable, subsidised osteopathic care, with some offered completely free of charge.
