About the UCO School of Osteopathy

Formerly known as the British School of Osteopathy and then the University College of Osteopathy from 2017 onwards, the UCO School of Osteopathy is a leading provider of osteopathic education and healthcare.

As an institution the UCO has played leading role in educating osteopaths, championing osteopathy and furthering the profession for over 100 years. Our evidence-informed approach, high-quality teaching and excellent clinical opportunities attract students from around the world and produce graduates who go on to leading roles within the osteopathic profession.

As of 1 August 2024 the University College of Osteopathy has now become the UCO School of Osteopathy within Health Sciences University (HSU). HSU aims to be the leading specialist health sciences university in the UK.

Never has the need for a specialist university like Health Sciences University been greater, as we tackle the challenges created by an ageing population, a healthcare system under huge pressure, and from an osteopathic lens, an increasing global burden of musculoskeletal conditions and illness. HSU strives to deliver educational excellence, to provide the next generation of health professionals for our health services, to upskill our current workforce, to improve and advance our world through research, and to improve public health.
