Stephanie Horsted

Stephanie is an Osteopath who graduated from UCO (now Health Sciences University) with a Master’s in Osteopathy. She also holds a degree in Sports Rehabilitation. She is registered with the governing bodies for Osteopaths and Sports Rehabilitators, and is qualified in dry needling, sports taping, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation.

Stephanie has a background in gymnastics and spent 10 years working as a gymnastics coach. She has also worked alongside sporting teams, providing pitch-side support and injury rehabilitation. This experience underpins her special interest in sporting injuries and their prevention, as well as her work with chronic conditions. She also has an interest in managing hypermobility-related pain or injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and scar tissue management.

Her approach is patient-centred and holistic, with a strong focus on the connection between mental health, stress, trauma, and their impact on the body. She aims to provide comprehensive and compassionate care, while also giving patients the tools to self-manage alongside osteopathic treatment. Exercise rehabilitation is a key part of her work, with programmes tailored to help patients return to the activities they enjoy.

Patients can expect an in-depth discussion of their medical history, presenting issue, and daily life activities, followed by a functional assessment that may include movement-based exercises and clinical tests to help track progress. Stephanie then discusses possible diagnoses and a clear management plan, including whether other healthcare professionals such as consultants, imaging, or blood tests may be appropriate. Treatment is always tailored to the individual and explained throughout, ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable with their care.
