Patrick Luppi, Clinic Tutor and Lecturer
Patrick is a clinic tutor, lecturer and academic at the UCO, where he is part of the Functioning Human and Being An Osteopath teams.
He is a proud member of the faculty. He says: “I consider myself very blessed to work for one of the most prestigious and innovative Osteopathic Institutions in Europe. Although the different roles are challenging and often complex, it is hugely rewarding to see the students achieve their potential.”
Patrick qualified from the then British School of Osteopathy (now UCO) in 2007 and continues to work in private practice in addition to his work at the UCO. He joined the UCO in 2009 where he first started as a clinic tutor and then progressed to teaching communication skills, clinical reasoning, applied pathophysiology and clinical exam preparation.
He completed a PgCert in Academic Clinical Education and currently is a Final Competence Clinical external examiner for the Instituto Superiore di Osteopatia in Milan, Ecole Superieur de Osteopathy in Paris and Centre Europeen d’Enseignement Superieur de l’Osteopathie in Lyon. Patrick also works as a Quality Assurance monitor and adviser for the Academia Italiana Medicina Osteopathic in Saronno in Italy as a Link Tutor, and as a Registration Assessor for the General Osteopathic Council.
In addition, Patrick speaks four languages and is a scuba diver instructor, underwater free diver and proficient alpine skier. He also loves getting his hands dirty with carpentry, plumbing, and other building work and he enjoys cooking for friends and family.
